This educational series consists of customized tracks for nurses, cardiac nurses, and nurse practitioners, and aims to provide information to aid in optimizing the management of patients with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular risk factors or established CVD. This program looks at the scope of the problem, the link between type 2 diabetes and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), and current ways to manage these patients. The most recent medical society guidelines are included which provide an overview of the recommended treatment options for managing patients with type 2 diabetes and ASCVD.
